How can I tell if my backups are working?

That depends on the backup system you are using.   Those of you still on Backup Edge will most likely have a backup status messages splashed onto one of you server console screens.  To manually query the edge program you can log in as root and type 'edgemenu'  In there you will find backup status reporting.

Those of you that have been upgraded to Backup Professional (BP) will have status messages emailed to you on a daily basis.
